A Full Analysis of the Product
There are various times that you need a little helping hand when you're doing the ketogenic diet. And I don’t mean the motivation from a friend or partner or the nutrition advice from a dietitian.
Supplements have been a core part of any diet, but it’s only in recent years that there’s been a huge influx of nutrition boosters that promise optimum levels of ketosis that will take your weight loss to another level.
All this is usually supported by advertising that features celebrities promising that you can look like them with just a little bit of a booster. Keto Matrix is one such product, and after reading some good things about it, we decided to test it out.
Ultimately, we were a little disappointed, and we’ll tell you exactly why on this page.
What Is Keto Matrix?
Keto Matrix is a product that delivers exogenous ketones that will support your ketogenic efforts. The makers promised to deliver all the benefits of keto before your body has actually switched to using fat for fuel.
With just one strategically planned serving a day, you’ll boost your brain function and physical energy to make you so much more effective in everything you do.
The claim is that it can help you on a day to day basis to perform better at work or school, and for athletes, it will provide a performance boost.
All sounds good so far, and once we look at some of the ingredients, it does sound like it could be a great option.
Or is it?
Let’s get into some more details of why we’re not 100% convinced.
What Are The Ingredients In Keto Matrix?
The main active ingredients in Keto Matrix are Sodium, Calcium, and Magnesium Beta Hydroxybutyrate, as well as GoMCT sourced from coconuts.
All of these are an excellent way to boost your blood ketone levels and provide easy to process fat that promises to boost energy levels significantly.
It certainly is a great idea to combine both ketones and fat in one product, rather than having to make sure you take the supplement with another fuel source product or food.
However, there is one little downside.
The marketing materials state that they don’t hide behind secret recipes and publish exactly what’s included. When it comes to the GoBHB salts it does say it contains 8000mg, but not in what proportion.
This makes it difficult to add to your meal plan when you're trying to get a specific amount from natural food sources as well. It’s sneaky enough to raise our suspicions about how well it really works.
First, though, let’s see what the recommended use is.
More recently, studies are beginning to reveal that many of the effects observed with the ketogenic diet are mechanistically attributable to ketones, which is a primary reason that exogenous ketones are being developed and studied.
How To Use Keto Matrix:
There are certain times in a ketogenic diet where you can do with a little booster.
Most commonly this is in the early stages, as well as when you have some high-intensity exercise plans.
At these times, simply mix up one scoop with about 12 ounces of water in a shaker or blender. Do this first thing in the morning or about 20 minutes before hitting the gym.
How Does Keto Matrix Taste?
An awful lot of ketogenic enhancers seriously lack in the department of taste.
You’ll know those moments when you look at a shake and grimace because you’ll have to pinch your nose to get it down.
Keto Matrix is available in strawberry lemonade, and to be honest, it’s quite fake and very sweet.
It’s not the worst, but there are way better options available.
Does It Actually Work?
Technically speaking, any exogenous ketones will increase your blood ketone levels. It’s not really rocket science, but it does come down to the actual mix. (Read this article)
In our own tests, we had some newcomers use it during induction, and I personally used it as a booster for my long runs. What we didn’t bother with is using it in isolation of any exercise and low-carb dieting.
To believe that a little bit of powder would help with burning fat is quite naive, so make sure you don’t fall for those types of claims. During induction, we found very little benefit from it, but there was a little bit less brain fog.
As for performance boosting, it did help there, but not to the extent that would make you want to use it all the time.
Are There Side Effects?
While the ketogenic diet has some side effects in the early stages, you wouldn’t want to have them last for very long. What most of these types of products claim to do is actually reduce side effects.
The problem we see though is that you could easily take in too many BHB salts through your food and other products because Keto Matrix doesn’t publish the exact mix.
So, if this could be a risk factor for you then watch out for signs of stomach upset like nausea and diarrhea.

If you’re new to the keto diet or you just want to lose weight a little bit faster, then diet boosters are going to be a helpful solution.
There is no reason to try and achieve everything through food alone, so why not use a little helping hand.
I’ve been going on and off the ketogenic lifestyle on a cyclical basis and simply don’t try it without some boosters anymore. The top product that I have tested so far and still use on a regular basis is Purefit KETO.
