Is This a Good Meal Replacement for Keto'ers?
There have been a lot of outrageous claims made about this popular low-carb diet, including its purported ability to ‘cure' type II diabetes and prevent the spread of cancer. At the same time, there have been those who claim the whole thing is a hoax designed to do nothing but sell supplements and raise people's hopes about losing weight without having to resort to surgery. As is the case with most things, however, the truth lies somewhere between the extremes.
The ketogenic diet is not an ‘all or nothing' proposition. Same with supplements. Some of them are effective, others not so much. In this Ketond review, we’re going to be looking at one that does a pretty good job mimicking the effects of the state so that you can enjoy some of the benefits without necessarily having to ban carbs from your diet altogether.
So, What is Ketond?
The ketogenic diet began life a century ago as a way to help adolescents with epilepsy bring that debilitating condition under control. In fact, it is still used for that purpose today. What got the attention of the wider public, however, was how effective it was/is at helping people lose weight and keep it off. In recent years, many supplements have been developed that can trick the body into believing it is in ketosis thereby allowing the consumer of the product to enjoy the benefits of that state, albeit on a temporary basis. And what are those supposed benefits?
In this Ketond supplement review, we’ll look at whether or not this particular supplement can help you achieve those benefits. Keep reading...
How Does Ketond Actually Work?
When someone is starving, their body switches from burning carbs for fuel to burning the only other thing that's typically available: fat. By eliminating carbs from your diet, you can effectively trick the body into thinking it's starving so that it burns fat and you lose weight.
Many people, however, don't wish to completely eliminate carbs from their diet and so look to supplements like Ketond to provide the benefits of the lifestyle, one dose at a time. Unlike some supplements that sneak carbs into their formulas by way of things like cornstarch (which they use as a filler and to try and improve the taste), Ketond is completely carb free. It also claims to provide up to 40% more exogenous ketone bodies than other supplements which enables you to enjoy a higher energy boost, more effective appetite suppression and greater clarity of thought. But does it?
Are There Different Flavors?
The Ketond product line features a two-track approach to supplementation: the standard blend for a quick energy boost along with a complimentary "stack" that's intended to enhance other benefits. The Ketond Blend is available in 3 flavors: Tiger’s Blood, Caramel Macchiato, and Citrus Mango. The manufacturer claims to provide a proprietary type of exogenous ketone body in the blend which they dub "goBHB."
For the most part, we found that Ketond did indeed seem to deliver a slightly higher energy boost than some other supplements. The majority of our testers who used the product in conjunction with this Ketond review also reported feeling more alert and more mentally clear than with other BHB supplements. As with many products, however, we found nothing particularly inspiring about the taste of Ketond. Even though it's available in those three evocatively named flavors, we found the names to be the tastiest aspect of the product. That said, where did the extra levels alertness come from?
The Ketostax Boosters
As we mentioned above in this Ketond supplement review, the product features a two-pronged approach that includes a "stack" of ingredients specifically designed to boost its performance. Those ingredients include:
Our Ketond Powder Review: The Final Conclusion
So will you become a muscle-bound genius by using Ketond?
The answer is: probably not. But if you use it fairly regularly and in conjunction with a regular exercise program, there seems a pretty good chance you’ll enjoy better overall health and a heightened sense of awareness and alertness. In our opinion, however, you'd be better served by using Perfect Keto instead. They've proven themselves time and again as both an effective adjunct to the diet and as a viable stand-alone supplement. It tastes better too which we liked about the product.
